Firearms Retailer and/or Range Membership Application Form

This membership is designed for firearms retailers, gunsmiths, indoor and outdoor shooting ranges (with or without a retail component), and not-for-profit shooting ranges. We will also consider applications for freelance instructors/trainers that do not own a range/retail business but are regularly contracted to train consumer/LE/Military as well as “start-up” businesses in those categories.  Retailers and Gunsmiths who take possession of, sell and/or transfer firearms should also have a Federal Firearms License. This membership will provide access to tools, benefits, research, events, and online education. If the majority of the product you retail is something that you manufacture/produce, please use the “Supporting Membership” application. Firearms Retailer and/or Shooting Range membership starts at $100 per year.

Premium Retail Membership Application Form

The NSSF Premium Retail Membership is designed to offer enhanced training, resources and support in the critical business area of federal regulatory compliance (ATF Compliance). Both new and long-established FFL’s with some history of completed firearms transfers seeking to improve their knowledge, skills and be better prepared for an eventual ATF inspection are encouraged to apply for this membership. As part of this membership you will receive one complimentary on-site ATF compliance training, access to a legal defense fund, ongoing support from a reputable network of expert ATF compliance consultants, FREE access to live and online education and a variety of FREE ATF compliance focused tools and resources. Premium Retail Membership costs $750 per year.

Premium Range Membership Application Form

The NSSF Premium Range Membership is designed to offer enhanced training, resources and support in the critical business area of OSHA preparedness. Both new and long-established FFL’s with an indoor shooting range seeking to improve their knowledge, skills and be better prepared for an eventual OSHA inspection are encouraged to apply for this membership. As part of this membership you will receive 1 complimentary on-site OSHA compliance training, access to a legal defense fund, ongoing support from a reputable network of expert OSHA compliance consultants, FREE access to live and online education and a variety of FREE OSHA compliance focused tools and resources.   Premium Range Membership costs $1,500 per year.

Supporting Membership Application Form

Supporting Membership is for qualified firearms industry companies whose primary business is to supply goods and/or services to firearm industry consumers or firearm industry companies. It includes corporations, organizations, associations, clubs or partnerships who will further the objectives of the Foundation in the promotion of the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry. As a Supporting Member, you will receive a discount on your booth space if you exhibit at the SHOT Show. Discounted literature and research, as well as discounts on various business benefits, including industry specific job postings on the NSSF Jobs Board. Supporting membership starts at $450 per year.

Associate Application Form

Associate Membership is for non-firearms industry companies whose main business lies outside of the firearm industry but provide goods and/or services to companies who are in the firearms industry.  It includes corporations, organizations, associations, clubs or partnerships who, in the judgment of the Board of Governors, will further the objectives of the Foundation in the promotion of the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry.  As an Associate member, you will receive discounts on NSSF literature and research, and there are discounts available to you for education and events. If you are an exhibitor at the SHOT Show, you will receive a discount on your booth space with your NSSF membership. Associate membership starts at $500 per year.

Media Membership Application Form

Media Individual Membership is for media who regularly cover industry, firearms, shooting, hunting, the outdoors and law enforcement, and who want to support the mission of NSSF. NSSF member benefits include access to research, literature and some SHOT Show benefits such as entrance to the Members Lounge. Media Individual Membership is $25 per year.

Patron Members shall be corporations, organizations, associations, clubs or partnerships with $2 million minimum annual sales in the US, have been in business for 3 years in the US prior to the application, and have been an NSSF qualifying member for at least 1 year immediately preceding application. They, in the judgement of the NSSF Board of Governors, will further NSSF’s mission to promote, protect and preserve the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry. Applications for Patron membership must include a $2,500 initiation fee and be approved by the NSSF Board of Governors. Exclusive benefits to the Patron membership category include free research, additional SHOT Show booth discounts, access to a member list once per year, and participation in the NSSF Employee Scholarship program. Non-Profit Application Form

Non-Profit Membership includes non-profit associations that have an affiliation with the shooting sports industry. Excludes non-profit shooting ranges. Non-Profit membership is $200 per year.
